The grunion are running!

As part of a citizen science project, some of us are helping monitor grunion spawning along the Carlsbad beaches.  We were first asked to help with this when the sand replenishment project at Agua Hedionda Lagoon was underway in the spring.  Since then, we’ve continued to gather data for the Grunion Greeters program out of Pepperdine University.  It’s quite exciting to see the grunion actually spawn.  Click on the link below:
