Join Preserve Calavera in partnership with the Buena Vista Audubon Society at our annual Endangered Species Day event at Buena Vista Audubon Nature Center (2202 S. Coast Hwy, Oceanside) on May 12th, 10a-2p. We will have a number of activities for the family (nature journals, tracking, lagoon dip…) and displays of raptors, reptiles and butterflies. Learn about the Endangered Species Act, Citizen Science and Climate Change.

California Naturalist Certification Class
We will be continuing our California Naturalist certification training in 2026 lead by two alumni, Jimmy Kidd and Lisa Kuleto. The class is scheduled for Tuesday evenings, 5:30-8:30 pm from March 3 through May 5. Check in here for more information. Registration will open in December, 2025.
