Village H south trail opening

Approximately 60 acres of Village H was acquired recently by the city of Carlsbad as a result of a settlement between the developers of Quarry Creek, the city and Preserve Calavera. After a brief closure to allow the city to trim trees, realign the trailhead, and add rail fencing, the south trail is open for walkers and dogs on leash.

Kyle Lancaster (Parks Superintendent), Cori Schumacher (City Council) and Diane Nygaard (Preserve Calavera President) officially open the trail on Aug. 2.
