Yesterday, Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill to eliminate dine-in restaurants from giving customers plastic straws unless they request them. He cited harm to marine life as well as human health given that microplastics are being found in drinking water throughout the world. Do your part to minimize use of plastic straws, especially at fast food restaurants where the law doesn’t apply, and other plastic products.
